Mt. Fuji

The highest mountain (3,776 m; 12,388 ft) in Japan and the most loved by the Japanese. Located on the border of Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefectures in central Honshū. Mt. Fuji boasts a superb conical shape that has become famous throughout the world as a symbol of Japan and has inspired generations of Japanese artists and poets.
